Electrospray

NEW PROJECT: ELECTROSPRAY DEPOSITION

INTRO

Electrospray deposition (EDP) is technique, which uses electricity to turn a liquid or suspension into fine aerosol and directed onto target surface.

IDEA

This technique is suitable for producing micrometer thin layer because it uses non-agglomerating droplets of uniform sizes. Furthermore, continuous high electrical charges on the droplets ease material to precipitate onto electrical conducting substrates. In addition, EDP also known as most promising manipulation technique for deposition of nanomaterial which has been applied in sanitization, agriculture and sensor area due to it cost effectiveness, homogenous coating area and simplicity. Recently, the EDP become one of the competing technology in the race toward developing nanofabrication for forming controlled self-assemblies and nanostructures from filler. The EDP can prevent the agglomeration of filler and filler deposition efficiency is much better compared to conventional filler spray method.
